Which 58 mm Bottomless Portafilter Fits a Gaggia, Rancilio, Profitec, or ECM Machine?

Summary

Sellers sort 58 mm bottomless portafilters by the machine's group, and the four brands here don't all land in the same group. Normcore sells a separate Gaggia head, puts the ECM Classika and the larger Profitec models under E61, and files the Rancilio Silvia and Profitec GO under "standard 58mm." Crema's single E61 version names Rancilio, Profitec and ECM, but not Gaggia. The Profitec GO is the one machine here that no seller clearly covers, since Normcore's slim E61 head lists it as not compatible.

ECM Classika PID"ECM brew group"Chart lists "E61 Group Head""58mm (E61)" version lists ECM

Normcore's chart puts Profitec's larger Pro 400 through Pro 800 under "E61 / Lever Group Head," separate from the GO. Crema adds that "some machines may have been excluded from this list," and Normcore's own warning above its slim portafilter's fit table is that "basket size alone does not guarantee portafilter compatibility."

Normcore charges the same for every 58 mm head on its standard bottomless portafilter, $65.99 with a black or white handle, $69.99 in walnut and $89.99 in titanium PVD, each with a 16 to 18 g basket. Its slim version is $75.99 with an 18 g double basket, and it excludes the Gaggia La Decisa from its Gaggia head. Crema's is $89.00 in any size.

A Gaggia Classic Pro owner therefore has one clear match here, Normcore's Gaggia head, and a Silvia owner has Crema's E61 version, which names Rancilio. For the GO, the two sellers point in different directions, one listing Profitec as a brand and the other excluding the GO by name from its slim E61 head.
