Which De'Longhi Fully Automatic Machine Makes the Drinks You Want?
Summary
They differ mainly in how far they go past hot espresso and milk. The Magnifica Evo keeps to a short menu of 6 or 7 drinks, the Magnifica Duo and Eletta Explore add cold brew and cold milk foam, and the Rivelia is built around two bean hoppers you can swap. Two names you'll still see in reviews, the Magnifica Plus and Dinamica Plus, are no longer in De'Longhi's U.S. store.

The Evo is the shortest menu. The LatteCrema version makes espresso, cappuccino, latte macchiato, iced coffee, coffee, hot water, and a My Latte slot for a recipe you save yourself. The Duo brews three ways, espresso, drip coffee, and cold brew, and De'Longhi's Cold Extraction Technology makes the cold brew in under three minutes. The Eletta Explore uses the same cold extraction and two LatteCrema systems for hot and cold foam, and it adds recipes you build and save in the De'Longhi Coffee Link app.
What makes the Rivelia different
The Rivelia comes with two removable bean hoppers, and De'Longhi pitches them for switching from a dark roast in the morning to decaf in the afternoon. It calls this the Bean Switch System. Extra hoppers hold 250 g and cost $22.95 each. The machine ships with the LatteCrema Hot system only. Cold foam needs the LatteCrema Cool Upgrade Set ($129.95), which adds a cold milk carafe, four thermal glasses, and six cold milk drinks, and De'Longhi lists it as compatible with every Rivelia model. With the upgrade, a Rivelia comes to $1,429.90, still $570.05 less than an Eletta Explore.
The Magnifica Plus and Dinamica Plus
Both still have support pages with manuals on De'Longhi's U.S. site, but neither appears among the 12 fully automatic machines in the U.S. store, and their old product pages no longer load. So a review of either one no longer matches anything De'Longhi sells directly in the U.S. De'Longhi's Magnifica collection page still describes the Plus, with a 3.5 in touch display and a 345 ml milk carafe.
