Are the GE Profile Automatic and Café Affetto Espresso Machines Still Being Made?
Summary
No. GE's owner pages show production of the GE Profile Automatic ending in 2023 and of the Café Affetto without a frother in September 2023, while the Affetto with a frother ran until September 2025. Café's product pages now say "This model is no longer being manufactured," while still showing sale prices of $659 for the Affetto and $629 for the Affetto with frother. The two brands' manuals describe close to the same machine under different names.

What the manuals say each one makes
In the Affetto manual, the models without a frother make espresso, lungo, Americano, a programmable "My Cup" and hot water. The frother models swap lungo for steam. Espresso starts at about 8 to 12 g of coffee for about 30 mL, a lungo at about 100 mL, and an Americano adds about 100 mL of hot water to about 50 mL of espresso. My Cup defaults to a ristretto of about 15 mL and "can only be updated within the SmartHQ app." GE's manual for the Profile uses the same functions but calls the programmable drink "My Brew," and puts the steam wand only on the P7CEBBS6RBB.
The grinder is set by lining up a circle on the knob with the arrow on the grinder top, where "the smallest circle is the smallest grind size," and the manual warns that the setting "may change if the grind settings are changed in the app." Café's espresso page says all its models have "an integrated adjustable conical burr grinder."
Upkeep
The Affetto manual recommends descaling "once a month or more depending on the water hardness," in two stages that take 30 to 40 minutes, and shows "Empty Waste" after 8 brews. The brewer comes out by pinching two orange tabs. Café gives the Affetto a one-year warranty.
